Is AI-generated music taking over human creativity in music?

According to ABC News, "A song created through artificial intelligence has made history by topping a Billboard country music chart."

This development raises questions about the future of human-created music and the role of songwriters. The use and advancement of artificial intelligence present a dual-edged scenario, particularly in the music industry. Drawing from my experience as a music industry executive and owner of Dreko Music Productions, I believe that the progress of artificial intelligence could gradually undermine human creativity. In today's society, there appears to be an increasing reliance on artificial intelligence over human effort. Are we truly in an era where AI is being prioritized over human contribution?

Consider this: if AI can replace a songwriter, which profession might be next? While individuals invest in education, often at a significant cost, they may find their career opportunities diminished as roles are supplanted by artificial intelligence.

It is important to recognize that humanity thrives on the commerce of trades and goods. Nevertheless, how can commerce be maintained when individuals are not remunerated for their services? Consider, for example, a songwriter who cannot earn income from their compositions because consumers opt to use AI bots instead. This preference arises from a desire to invest in artificial creations rather than compensate a human artist. Currently, efforts are being made to develop AI systems, which do not require basic necessities for survival. Humans, on the other hand, need food, water, shelter, and essential life-sustaining products to continue to prosper, and this inherently includes financial compensation.

It’s starting to resemble the movie *iRobot*, starring Will Smith. I believe we should heed the warnings from past creators because they may have been trying to alert us to the heavily reliant A.I. world we live in today. It’s acceptable to utilize A.I. technology to a certain extent, but an overreliance on it can be detrimental to the longevity of humanity. I am pro-human, which means I acknowledge the new and advanced technologies being developed, but I do not value technology more than human life.
